The bi-annual Cottonwood Art Festival features works from the nation’s top visual artists. Now in its 43rd year, the prestigious show is rated the fifth best art festival in the United States, and is the premier fine arts event in North Texas.  Richardson’s Cottonwood Art Festival Oct. 1-2 will show works of only 240 artists in a fun-filled outdoor setting. “There’s an Art to having Fun!”

The works of the nation’s top visual artists will be on display October 1-2 at the bi-annual Cottonwood Art Festival.

The Cottonwood Art Festival Oct. 1-2 is for everyone who enjoys art.  For the mini-Monets, ArtStop is the festival’s interactive children’s area. Staffed by more than 100 volunteers, ArtStop creates a hands-on world of art with life-size paint brushes and dozens of activities irresistible to any child.

The Cottonwood Art Festival Oct. 2-3 isn’t just for adult art aficionados.  For the pint-size Picassos in the crowd, ArtStop is the festival’s hands-on, interactive children’s area. Staffed by more than 100 volunteers, ArtStop creates a world of art that includes life-size paint brushes and activities no child can resist.

The festival is set for 9 AM - 6 PM Saturday and Sunday, October 2-3, 2010 at Richardson’s Cottonwood Park. The park is just east of the intersection of Beltline Road and Coit Road. ADMISSION

 Parking and admission to the Cottonwood Art Festival is free of charge. Some children’s events require a fee. The artist’s works and food are available for purchase.
